Insert People picker value using web service in SharePoint

When you want to insert a value for people picker control using a web service, the format should be -1;#<DomainName>\<UserName>.

For ex: if “PRESS” is a domain and “SAMPATHK” is the user name then the format should be like, -1;PRESS\SAMPATHK
